Obinna Ukachukwu

Obinna is an impact driven professional with almost two decades of practical experience in Banking, Development Finance, and Health Finance. He is currently the Divisional Head at Sterling Bank, covering the Health and Education Sectors as well as some other digital distribution initiatves. In this role, he seeks to create solutions that enables access and the distribution of services across both sectors.
He is a business leader with expertise in Leadership, Risk management, Business Strategy, and development finance.
Obinna has served in various executive and senior management roles cutting across Micro Finance, Health Management and Banking, this he did in both indigenous and international organisations.
Obinna is a Fellow Chartered Management Accountant (FCMA UK), and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He has an MBA (Finance) from the University of Manchester, a B.Eng.(Electrical/Electronics) from Nnamdi Azikiwe University. He is an established conference speaker on SME, health finance and business growth topics both locally and internationally.

Akin-Olusoji Akinyele

’Soji Akinyele is an Associate Pastor at The Covenant Nation (TCN), founded by Pastor ‘Poju Oyemade. He
currently serves as the Dean of the Joseph Business School (JBS), Lagos – a global partnership between
TCN and JBS USA established to train and certify entrepreneurs in practical and biblical principles of
business. He was also the former Head of Covenant Capital – the small and medium enterprise (SME)
advisory arm of TCN.
In his professional career, ’Soji is a seasoned Economist and Technocrat with over 15 years of experience
actively covering key economic sectors, markets and policy areas across Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa.
He is the Special Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer of The Nigerian Stock Exchange (“NSE” or “The
Exchange”), and doubles as Head of Government Relations for the $100 billion multi-asset Exchange
platform. Prior to this, he was an Embedded Adviser and Technical Assistant on Industry, Trade and
Investment in the Office of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, where he was part of the
core team responsible for implementing Nigeria’s ease of doing business reforms and improving the
country’s in World Bank Doing Business rankings by an unprecedented 39 places in only 3 years.
Mr. Akinyele is also an investment and market researcher – he once led the research team at the Nigerian
Economic Summit Group (NESG) before a stint as Senior Economist and Member of the Editorial Board of
BusinessDay Media Ltd. In 2015, he established the Nigeria office of a global business research firm that
executed the commercial due diligence for $80 million private equity investment in a Nigerian biscuit
manufacturer, among other achievements. He has consulted for the World Economic Forum; the Africa
CEO Forum; the Gordon Institute of Business Science (South Africa) and the West African Capital Market
School (Ghana), among others.
Soji holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Economics from the University of Lagos; he is an MBA Programme Candidate
and an Associate Member of the Association of Certified Chartered Economists.
He is married to Ngozichukwuka Akinyele and blessed with two daughters.
